About Alicia
Alicia is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Certified Childbirth Educator, doula, and mother of three. Her skillset includes extensive training in evaluation and management of "Tethered Oral Tissues" such as tongue, lip, or buccal ties. Alicia’s ability to be both empathetic and empowering provides a judgement-free and safe experience during the early months of parenting, and beyond. She’s dedicated to providing skilled, clinical assessments with an individualized treatment plan to meet the needs of your family.

How it works
Alicia offers in-person and virtual lactation appointments to help you and your baby move through your breastfeeding/chestfeeding journey together.
These 90-minute appointments include:
Lactation assessment
Breast exam
Health history
Observing baby’s appearance & behavior
Parent & newborn exam
Positioning & latch assistance
Milk transfer assessment (pre/post feeding weight)
Troubleshooting your specific concerns
Customized Care Plan & follow up resources
Secure messaging follow up through email or text one week after visit

Appointments are available in-person or virtually
Where: In person at The Root; 3385 Lannatt St., Suite D, Sacramento
When: Mondays & Thursdays; 5:00 pm or 6:30 pm (except for the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas)
